Founded in 1913, its purpose is to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the sport, delivering tennis for future generations in association with its 213 member nations. The ITF oversees the rules and regulations that govern international and national competition. The Wheelchair Tennis department is responsible for all aspects of wheelchair tennis at an international level. Activities include the organisation of the Wheelchair Tennis Event at the Paralympic Games, the BNP Paribas World Team Cup, the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters, the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, classification and the development of wheelchair tennis for adults and juniors worldwide. An experienced and organised individual will assist the Head, Wheelchair Tennis to manage operations (on a maternity cover basis) of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, and other activities as part of ITF鈥檚 wheelchair tennis strategy. They will act as liaison between the Head, Wheelchair Tennis, the Wheelchair Tennis Committee, Wheelchair Player Council and Wheelchair Tennis colleagues to facilitate the implementation of the agreed strategy for those activities and associated events.Responsibilities:鈥 Act as a key point of contact for and provide support to players for all aspects of the Tour, including tournament entries and registration (IPIN); build player relations and provide a high level of customer service at all times鈥 Liaise with and provide all necessary support to other stakeholders, including National Associations, tournament organisers and officials regarding tournament organisation and other wheelchair tennis related matters鈥 Travel to and attend events (as required) to support and facilitate player, tournament and other stakeholder relations鈥 Coordinate receipt and processing of tournament fact sheets, weekly results and reports鈥 Process tournament Entries/Withdrawals and Acceptance Lists; coordinate and maintain the Tour Calendar, world rankings and player Code of Conduct鈥 Develop a full understanding of all wheelchair tennis competition regulations; contribute to their ongoing development in the best interests of the game and stakeholders鈥 Assist with the scoping of new digitalisation opportunities; maintain the wheelchair tennis database and contribute to the development and maintenance of digital systems to enhance operational processes, in liaison with the department and ICT colleagues鈥 Assist with the organisation and administration of major ITF wheelchair tennis events鈥 Prepare and maintain information materials for distribution to stakeholders, including major event circulars, player notices, regulation updates reports and data records鈥 Prepare and distribute invoices for collection of monies and assist with the preparation of department budgets.General duties/responsibilities:鈥 To administer specific wheelchair tennis projects and undertake relevant and reasonable duties as requested by the Head of department.鈥 To ensure that the projects allocated run as efficiently and effectively as possible鈥 To attend regular team meetings regarding division of work / progress of projects鈥 To liaise closely with departmental colleagues, other ITF departments, national and regional associations on projects allocated鈥 Preparation of papers for meetings; to attend Committee / Commission / other meetings and take minutes as necessaryAs the needs of the business can evolve rapidly this role may change accordingly, therefore this document should be viewed as guidelines which are subject to change.You will have鈥飪 Sound knowledge of and keen interest in tennis and/or disability sport 飪 First-rate administration, organisational and multi-tasking skills飪 Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with a professional approach飪 Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish飪 Tried and tested event/project administration experience with good attention to detail and the ability to focus on routine tasks飪 The ability to prioritise and use own initiative飪 High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs飪 Integrity and diplomacy飪 Enthusiastic, motivated and be a team player飪 Flexibility.
